Barry worked at Sedway Cooke Associates in San Francisco from 1985 to 1991. While there, he managed the Colusa County General Plan and was a principal planner on the Alameda Naval Air Station Master Plan and the San Joaquin County General Plan. He was also instrumental in staffing the firm’s Florida office and was the principal planner on the Coastal Management Plan for Volusia County (Daytona Beach) and the Community Plan for Big Pine Key (Monroe County). Barry was also part of the teams preparing the Comprehensive Plan for Farmers Branch, Texas and the Davenport (Iowa) Riverfront Plan.
